Foolish woman for having 3 kids and no house. How many fathers are there for them? As others have pointed out, her expectations are unrealistic. Mind you, I have often wondered about moving to France for a number of reasons.

Our grandchildren were very impressed with Brittany and how polite and friendly most of the people are. They are not wrong. In some areas the house prices are very low and the countryside is wonderful.

@pincermovement72 Grandparents can travel you know and it isn't that expensive. A free holiday in a lovely area has to be worth it.

@mike2561 We have been in France for nearly six weeks now and have not seen any signs of trouble anywhere. City dwellers anywhere in the world are not representative of the general population. Just look what happened in Oxford Street the other week.
