There are some jobs that cannot be done by AI because it will not have intuition. The jobs that it can do are those for simple people. My old job could not be done by AI for many reasons but now I have retired I don't really care. Too many Brits seem to live to work while the French have it the right way in that they work to live.

Actually coal mining was mechanised quite a long time ago but man power is cheaper in deep mining and life is cheap. Open cast mining is the most efficient way and could very easily be computerised.

@nullface_YT Personally I would rather be fried instantly than be alive for no purpose and not able to "live" how I wish to.

@beaterbikechannel2538 A lot of welding can be automated (I used to work for the one time world experts) but the truly skilled welding (and hence truly skilled welders) will only ever be realistically economically viable if done manually.

@fromkeajra It is far better to question everything and make up your own mind rather than believe one point of view only because although much of that could be subjectively correct, a good deal could be wrong or untrue. This philosophy will prevent you from becoming blinkered to other ideas and thus make you a much nicer person all round.

@wishingwell12345 You have obviously never worked in a modern factory where the stores department is pretty much automatic.
