  1. Portsmouth is full of very dubious businesses, barbers, nail bars and beauty parlours etc that cannot really be sustainable. It makes me think of Orwell and the Road to Wigan Pier where he talks of previous luxuries becoming too cheap.

  2.  @angelsackson  It has even got to Milton. I didn't realise how sunny it has been in Milton and Eastney lately but there are loads of very tanned people round there.
