  2. A levelling up of the population, I.e. not expanding madly is what is required as we have all become too resource greedy. Doubling population only benefits the rich.

  4. Please can we not introduce more laws to try and address this as they will not work and will have a negative effect on ordinary decent people. To give an idea of cultural differences between the UK and France. All sorts of knives that are illegal in the UK are sold openly in France and Opinel, the famous maker of iconic pocket knives, make one targeted at youngsters with the promo picture showing a couple of lads around 10 or so whittling a stick. The knife is called "My first Opinel".

  5. Comedy does not need to be crude, offensive or "edgy" to be funny. Just look at the two Ronnies or Morecombe and Wise. The was a time when some comedians relied on crudity to try and be funny but it failed.

  6. One of my parents dogs was racist and barked fiercely at anyone with darker skin (I have no idea why). This wasn't really an issue until I brought my coloured girlfriend home. By the way, she had been adopted by a vague relative's family and was one of very few coloured people in my village.
