Most American food is pretty tasteless rubbish from my experience and some of the practices they use are very questionable to the point that the UK will not allow import of the meats.

To a Brit, stuffing meat in your car has a whole different meaning!

Commercially caught fish are left to die of suffocation so being a pescatarian is not good,.

My "sausage" might be as big as one but it isn't green, lol.

@GhostOfKiev2023 The settlers in America, ie asylum seekers and economic migrants were about the worst for genocide.

@whycantwegetalong4465 All "isms" are prone to failure, despite how honourable and worthy their initial intention is due to the same thing, good old human nature and greed.

@orionbetelgeuse1937 My step son wasted away when he was forced to go vegan by his hippy yippy Asian wife. He looked really unwell. She then realised that they (baby as well) were needing so many supplements to stay healthy and that those supplements were often produced by some dodgy companies from equally dodgy stuff and it was costing a fortune.

@jamescastle5096 I regularly hunt for meat in the UK in the form of deer management as it tends to be called these days although weather, and sailing plus a couple of other things have interfered with that recently.
2
@laserflexr6321 Sounds like you are trying to use common sense and rational arguments against someone who has neither common sense or is rational.
2
@GhostOfKiev2023 Yep, that sums up the genocide committed by the former Europeans who became the new Americans. I would quite like to know what things were like for the "natives" prior to independence.
2
@barrydevonshire9749 How do you avoid excessively processed foods when you are vegan? The soya products and fake "dairy" products are particular examples.
2
@barrydevonshire9749 Two big issues, firstly there are too many people on this planet. Second issue is the vast amount of land that is unsuitable for arable farming for one reason or another but can sustain grazing which converts inedible vegetation into good healthy protein with little processing.
2
@GhostOfKiev2023 You summed up the way that the genocide was carried out subtly very well there, few realise it was very deliberate.

@JudgingKitty I don't like any creature to suffer unnecessarily and try my hardest for a clean kill with birds or animals for food and despatch fish as swiftly as I can.

Wasn't that guy in the 30s supposed to be vegetarian?😊
1
@Shadrach666 So I have heard said. Could that be part of what made him go mad towards the end?
1
@christinarichie6171 A great many "isms" start with good intentions and in fact, deep down many are a lot more similar than you would believe in terms of those intentions. Then human nature kicks in and completely scuppers any chance of a good outcome. Just look at Animal Farm as a clear illustration.
1
@ArtisChronicles I can confirm squirrels taste great and venison is wonderfully healthy.
1
@Someone-kg8qf Why didn't you use America as an example of where genocide has been carried out against the native population for hundreds of years.
1
@NewWorldHoarder There are those who would pay for that - lol.
1
@orionbetelgeuse1937 Anyone noticed the similarities between Merkel, Truss and the mad jock Woman?
1
@OffGridInvestor I know of people who have used cucumbers as "meat" substitutes - lol.
1
@PrivateSi That would make us all much more equal rather than far more unequal if it were true, uncorrupted communism.
1
@barrydevonshire9749 What makes the grazing of animals on land where you could not reasonably grow crops without a huge amount of fertilizer inefficient? Properly managed grazing is very good for the land and can transform very poor land into quite productive land.
1
@donna4815 Nothing wrong with that at all! Way too many people on the planet and way too many living in poverty as a result.
1
@PrivateSi The problem with communism like all "isms" is that it all started out with good intentions and initially stopped the situation that existed previously in Russia. In many ways it was pretty much like National Socialism in that respect. Then people find they can use it to line their own pockets and it all goes pear shaped.
1
@barrydevonshire9749 The mere fact that tofu does not look like beans means that it is quite processed. It doesn't even have the texture of beans.
1
@barrydevonshire9749 Meat does not require any processing and good meat needs very little cooking. Milk can be drunk straight from the animal if you want.
1
@Pomni3477 Would they be pork easy and maybe some pork runners?
1
Germans live on pork and have special toilet pans so that you can check for worms. As for liver, try some very fresh deer liver, takes things to the next level!
