@whatif2336 not natural immunity but natural selection. The sick die off and the lucky survive. Natural but a bit harsh in this day and age!

Thank goodness for the clear vision of hindsight! I recall before "it" became recognised in the UK a number of people I know becoming very ill with what was almost certainly covid. My neighbour said he thought he was going to die as he was so bad! Thankfully, the scientists worked so hard to try and get a vaccine available because if the death rate in the UK had reached what it did in some countries early on I think the outcry would have been unbelievable!
