  8. I would love to know how many French cops get attacked during their normal line of duty, especially during traffic stops - bet it is quite a high number if the UK is anything to go by.

  10.  @moggpiano8043  It is a sad trait of humans for sure, but in today's society many less wealthy individuals feel they deserve such vehicles and lifestyles and end up in serious debt or worse.

Do not judge people for what they appear to be, but if you prepare for the worst outcome then you will stay safe and rarely be disappointed.

  17.  @alwoo5645  I wonder if anyone has managed to get the registration number of the wagon? That could be used to find out a lot. I am sure it must have been visible at some point during all the reporting. My personal guess is along the lines of a disgruntled mother getting drunk and having "revenge" on the school for something petty. We had an incident locally where a supposedly respectable member of society fell out with his yacht club and ploughed his Volvo into it while drunk.

  22.  @whomstd  The winters were typically colder in general but felt worse without central heating, double glazing and insulation. The trains did not seem to get stopped by a couple of leaves on the line or if it got hot in summer or a bit cold in winter. My current standard of living in retirement is way better than any but the richest could ever have imagined back in my youth. Where do you see your "greenest grass"?
