@emmasnow29 Yes, when nicely roasted and served with the appropriate vegetables it is perfect for a cold winter day. Pity so many people round the world are deprived of it due to their own religious bigotry.

@whomstd The winters were typically colder in general but felt worse without central heating, double glazing and insulation. The trains did not seem to get stopped by a couple of leaves on the line or if it got hot in summer or a bit cold in winter. My current standard of living in retirement is way better than any but the richest could ever have imagined back in my youth. Where do you see your "greenest grass"?
