The reduction in the population can only be a good thing, however the wealthy capitalists hate the idea as they depend on an ever increasing number of (poor) people to keep wages down and to sell more and more goods and thus make more money. With the ever increasing use of automation there will be less and less need for a large workforce, just think how many people it took to build one car say 30 years ago compared with what it does today.

  2. The big reason for the lower birth rates these days is that we no longer need big families due to the survival rates of the children and the fact that people do not bow to the pressure to reproduce these days. It is called evolution!
