Swedes are like most Scandinavians in general in that they are mostly genuinely decent trustworthy people. If their government recommended something then most would listen. In the UK people just aren't like that, largely due to lack of common sense.

Almost as bad as that towards people who weighed up the situation and decided that the vaccine may be of benefit to them without using hindsight.

@pablorages1241 Sounds fine to me but it seems from data available whatever approach that was tried didn't change the outcome that much. The UK government is notorious for doing what they think will make them seem to care most. Look at how they tried to appease the population by banning handguns after Dunblane when sensible people knew it would achieve nothing of value. Now they are trying to make all sorts of knives and other tools illegal to own to appease those worried about knife crime when everyone knows it will only have a negative effect on ordinary decent people and do nothing to stop criminals.
