  1. When I hear people today say that "there is nothing for the kids to do round here" I have to laugh. I was born and lived the first 25 years of my life around a mi8le from the nearest fairly small village. I don't think I can ever remember being bored except during spells of really bad weather, but even then I would find plenty to do. In my case, the often quoted pen knives and sheath knives went further, starting with air rifles at quite an early age and progressing to small calibre shotguns by senior school.
