  1. Breast feeding has enormous health benefits to mothers and children including improving immunity. It is also natural and therefore just has to be better. It Also prevents rip-off companies making huge sums of money from formula which I doubt is as well controlled as it might be.

  2. Baby milk substitutes are not good for the babies or the mothers in many cases, as they say, breast is best and is free. I the third world, companies like Nestle promote it which means the mothers need a source of clean water otherwise they are poisoning the kids. Breast feeding also goes a long way to delay fertility in the mothers which means formula allows them to become pregnant sooner and thus they need more formula.
