  2. Sadly, the more the "right" split off from each other, the more likely Starmer is to get in. We need a House of Lords that is completely and utterly separate from all political parties and free of cronyism. It needs to be filled with people who have age, knowledge and experience!

  8. The biggest danger in voting for a new minority party is that it will almost certainly result in Labour winning as it will split the Tory vote more than the labour one. Sadly I don't know what the answer is, other than decent people trying to get into the mainstream parties and influencing them.

  9. Met office forecasts and the likes of Windfinder have been pretty accurate of late, give or take the odd random events. Even over here in Brittany the met office forecasts have been very good almost to the hour when it comes to rain and strong winds. Currently Windfinder is spot on with F6 gusting F8 and big waves.

  11. It has been destroyed by accountants who can only understand numbers which in the case of TV means viewing figures. This has resulted in everything being dumbed down to compete with the other channels. At one time they boasted about minority interest programmes but now it has to be all about numbers.

  19. There are way too many MPs in our parliament. They should be reduced to one for every half million voters. This would save the country lots of money and speed up decision making. It would also make it much easier to introduce a proper system of proportional representation.
