@will-zj5gq The fact that there are reports it suffered a lightning strike on a previous occasion are worrying if you know anything about composite materials. You cannot inspect them like you can metal. For modern gliders, a lightning strike even without obvious damage means a write-off due to the risk of unseen damage.

@MrPaultopp The space shuttle explosion was due to penny pinching accounts not listening to the engineers. Sadly this was one of the causes of the Titanic disaster and the Concord crash. We never seem to learn do we.

@Kenneth-ts7bp There was supposed to have been a book written before Titanic describing the loss of a supposedly unsinkable liner called Titan or some such name.

@barbarahalkyard1901 We certainly should have, but it seems greed has got worse and many lessons have not been learnt when it comes to safety.

@benfrese3573 Sure would! Of course, it is all perfect conspiracy theory stuff- were those guys actually in the sub? Their bodies will never be found so it is a perfect vanishing trick.
