  2. You are totally wrong there, it is about the useless, entitled generations who completely lack any trace of common sense. If people still had common sense they would ignore warnings that did not affect them. I pay attention to gale warnings and strong wind warnings because I sail and they are very important. Other weather warnings generally don't affect me as I look at a number of forecasts depending what activities I am up to.

  3. It is not the powers that be but the entitled generations who are causing the problem. If someone suffers due to it being hot they are likely to want to sue the met office for not warning them, same as any other more extreme weather. This is exactly the same thing that has ruined discipline in our schools because parents didn't like it.
