@Anonnymous_Comment How many Indians have got fantastic well paid jobs in the USA purely as a result of what the British empire did for their country? And how many have settled in Britain and done very well for themselves? The other thing many people choose to forget is how many times England has been conquered and pillaged over the centuries.

@huwwiliams8426 How about no criminal record but a years hard labour for each offence committed?

@jonahwhale9047 We cannot change the past.

@huwwiliams8426 It would add significantly to it, learning not to go feral again.

Bring back police violence!

@fairytalepurityanalyser6056 You would not want to be a lower cast in India even today. They are left to die on the streets in some areas and have absolutely no chance of bettering themselves.

@josefk332 The gift to the world from a tiny village in Hampshire.

@glen9303 But I regularly go to Indian restaurants.

@Karlsefni-fh9fb I wonder just how many of the people who moan about us stealing stuff have ever been to a museum?

@PaulMason-c9m Was he a Muslim as well?

@huwwiliams8426 The stealing of history is nothing to do with what these feral looters were doing, much as it is nothing to do with shop lifting in the usual sense of the word.

@davidprosser457 If you are talking about Indians (Asian) then huge numbers went to work for IBM and the like and are still highly respected in the computer industry.

@davidprosser457 Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Normans. It is supposed to be one of the reasons we became such good fighters in later times.

@jonahwhale9047 That will do nothing to deter the behaviour in the first place. When these people feel they can get away with their crimes they are likely to go further and further down that route if there are no consequences. This is largely the fault of people with your attitude.

China have already been sold all our manufacturing and now they are destroying our country. Tik Tok needs to be shut down immediately in the UK.

@huwwiliams8426 The problem with what you are suggesting is that it takes generations to work- yes, it is the best way in the long term but you need to start with very young kids and teach them right from wrong very early but sadly that doesn't seem to have been happening for a good few years. The problem at the moment is the lack of consequences for bad behaviour, whether it is from a 5 year old at school or a teenager like these ferals. If they new something bad might happen to them, most people would think twice about how they behaved. Too many kids these days don't get the education they should have because things have been made too easy for them. There seems to be no competition to do better or true reward for good performance or behaviour. I know full well we don't have hard labour in the UK but it would certainly reduce the prison population and allow offenders to give something back to society which in its own right world give them some worth. As for my upbringing, it was a typical working class (probably would be considered abject poverty these days) and I learnt right from wrong at an early age. I didn't have a fancy education, but did an engineering apprenticeship which stood me in a great position when it came to getting a really good job. Never been unemployed and never had a problem changing companies for better pay. Now retired early and currently holidaying in France on my yacht!

@huwwiliams8426 A lot of what you say about Thatcher is totally true and personally I believe she is responsible for many of the problems in this country. However, I cannot agree with your argument regarding why kids do this type of crime. When I was young kids learnt about consequences at an early age - if you did something stupid on one of the things down the local recreation ground you ended up with grazed knees and elbows or if you were lucky enough to have a bike the same applied. Nowadays these playgrounds are far too safe for fear that someone will sue the council if their kid cuts his knee. In parts of Germany they are experimenting with old school playgrounds where kids could get hurt if they are silly and early indications are that it is making those kids much more responsible.

@huwwiliams8426 Simple question, why have some neighbourhoods become so bad - it does not happen overnight or by magic.
1
@huwwiliams8426 Regarding your comment about adrenaline sports, that really is not relevant to the situation these kids are in. Many kids are too sheltered from minor dangers and risk from an early age and therefore don't appreciate the possible consequences of say joy riding. When they get hurt trying to flee the police their parents are up in arms when they should feel ashamed.
