  1. Why did the Ukrainian comedian effectively declare war on Russia when half his people are actually Russians? Ordinary Ukrainian people would be no worse off under Putin than they were before.

  2.  @DREAMLANDSLEEEP  Please think about what I said again. As is always the case with war, it is ordinary people who suffer, regardless of who is on which side. Both Russia and the Ukraine have a much darker side, although we tend not to be shown one of them. Independence from Russia was effectively bought by the West, and much like Brexit (which incidentally I voted for! ) it was a close run thing by all accounts. I am not saying that what Russia is doing is right or good, but then would Putin have attacked had he not been provoked? The "West" did very little to stop or avoid the conflict and are doing a lot to prolong it.
