One of the most amusing tales I heard along these lines was from a friend of my other half. Back in the fairly early days of the PC he did a lot of programming work from home but knew his activity was being monitored to make sure he was doing what he was paid to do. He simply wrote a programme to make it look like he was working.

@taras6806 If you stop and think how many mobile phones there are in the UK you realise that tracking every one would be quite impossible. What has happened though is that by your provider being able to show you were in a particular place at a particular time, people have been able to prove they are innocent of a crime.
