I bet half those people would not have an idea how to pitch a tent! As for the guy who said that the UK has never had a revolution, he obviously missed the bit about the civil war in history at school (mind you, he probably didn't go to school! )

@monkeymox2544 There are thousands of acres of land in England & Wales that the public can enjoy - miles & miles of public footpaths. The reason many land owners get annoyed by people on their land is the amount of vandalism & litter. As always, it is a few people who have spoiled things for the many. You only have to look at some of these protestors to see that it is not about free camping.

@monkeymox2544 An ancestor of mine, one Robert Kett and his brother had something to say about land if you would like to look up their story. I am not sure if you are a home owner (mortgage victim) but the laws that protect the wealthy are also the laws that protect your home from just being taken from you because someone wants your land.

I just love it when these entitled brats leave all their rubbish behind them and start fires and generally ruin things for decent people.

I think he ought to start rewilding his land with wolves and European brown bear and bison etc - that might change the desire to wild camp.

@monkeymox2544 I think you will find that if you are respectful of the land and as they say, leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but memories no one will really bother with you. Sadly there are too many people who do not follow this code and ruin things for everyone. On a farm in rural Sussex where I regularly walk, litter is common and I have seen the remains of a cheap tent simply dumped in the woods.

@monkeymox2544 The issue with it being legal makes the problem with the bad lot more of a problem to deal with, they can simply deny all the rubbish and damage etc is anything to do with them.

@kevinturner5857 Have you not noticed that I blame the selfish people for this whole situation. I wouldn't mind betting this guy didn't even know what Wild campers were until he either saw or got shown some of the mess left by yobs who have no care or knowledge of the countryside.
