  2. Chulita R thanks for responding and confirming the fact that you're too stupid to understand how the Senate works. Let me give you a lesson. It takes 60 votes in the Senate to pass a bill, this is what is referred to as a supermajority. It takes 51 votes to do things such as budget reconciliation and approve nominees and things like that. This is called a simple majority. Please note the difference it will be crucial for the remainder of your lesson. To pass the funding bill we needed 60 votes in the Senate. That means if every Republican voted yes, nine Democrats would also have to participate. 51 + 9 equals 60. Do you understand now? This first lesson is free, but I will be charging you for any additional lessons that you request. I hope this helps.
