Brazilian here, Lula is doing exactly what he has always done: skyrocketing public debt to spend money, selling tomorrow to buy today. That's exactly what brought us the 2015 economic crash, when he was leading the country with Dilma Rousseff, and that's for sure the way we're headed if things don't change.

Fun fact: Lula spent his first two years fighting against the president of the BC (Central Bank), so he could force the interest rates to lower. He lost, lucky us.

First time I got disappointed with this channel.

@dltn42 For starters, the decision to keep interest rates high wasn't Lula's. Quite the contrary, Lula, who's a complete imbecile when talking about economics, tried his best to force the BC (Central Bank) to LOWER rates. Keeping the rates high was exactly what kept the economy from crashing. Stop glorifying politicians.

@Emersonunes You have to be really naive to believe the gigantic public debt had nothing to do with the economic crash. In 2015 Dilma and Lula's government payed more than 300 BILLIONS of interest alone. BILLIONS. Sorry, but lack of investments don't give you two years in a row of - 3.5% GDP.

@brawales As it's obvious to see, Lula's mindless followers believe politics is like football. They act as if they "won", and everyone else would be a "loser". When I become a crooked politician, I want voters exactly like that.

@brawales Isn't it sad when dumb people act as if politics was like a football match? Crooked politicians excel in dividing people, up to a point when not so smart citizens see other citizens who think differently as some sort of enemy.
