Well if you were an ordinary worker in a steady job in the 70s, 80s and esp early 90s you could at least buy a house or get social housing and could afford for your wife to stay at home and raise children. Life was basic and the technology nowhere near as advanced BUT arguably quality of life was better, yes living standards are better today but its going backwards again. For the last 25 years we have been sold out by politicians, everything sold off, worse services, everything a crisis of chaos and we have a massive burden of public debt as its all been p1ssed up the wall. Went rapidly downhill in 1997 onwards, if we carry on like this we are going to have nothing left whatsoever..
