  2. We can't change the welfare system unless we change it for everyone, the EU has already stated this. We have always had low paid sectors BUT the cost of living is now so high that only subsidized workers can afford to do that work by claiming benefits and sharing accommodation and bills. Brits cannot do this, especially the ones with mortgages and houses to maintain. What we need is to remove those benefits so we have a completely level playing field and only selecting high skilled workers that can completely support themselves with no drain on services. Plenty of Brits are willing an able to do those jobs IF there is a living wage in place.

  3. Why do some migrants get so vindictive? If Brexit has upset you that much then you are probably not strong enough mentally to cope with this work. Other migrants that came here in the 50's and 60's had to put up with far harsher comments, not on internet forums but in the streets and workplace but they got on with it, worked hard and got rewarded and respected. We aren't racists, we just want to be able to decide who comes here, stop undercutting of wages and get our own people trained, just like Polish people only want to decide who comes to their country. We welcome nurses and doctors of all races and couldn't care less who treats us as long as its a human. For decades we have had foreign nurses and doctors treating us, nothing new whatsoever..

  4. Of course we want the Govt to fix the benefits system, it wide open to abuse and far too generous to people that haven't contributed enough. The Govt need to stop benefits for anyone that hasn't paid in for at least 5 years and only provide support for up to 6 months with no housing benefits or child benefits. Not all immigrants are useful to us, too many low earners that might be paying taxes but nowhere near enough for the benefits and services they receive. I wonder why British employers like low paid immigrants, why do you think?

  6. I wouldn't say people affected by the influx of immigrants are ignorant or deluded, they have a right to be angry and if you deny there is a problem then maybe you are the one that is deluded. No one is saying that Polish people don't work hard, no one is saying that some immigration isn't needed or that they aren't making a valid contribution. But what you have to recognize is that the fact that they are here in these numbers is that it undermines the wages of low paid British workers. It puts more pressure on housing, schools and the NHS. The Government says that all immigrants are net contributors, I disagree. Only a small percentage are and I have no issues with those but as soon as you need to subsidise their housing or provide a doctor or school then anyone on low pay cannot be contributing more than they take out. A Pole can come here and take a low paid low stress job with benefits top-ups and still be better off than they would be at home or compared to most low paid British workers. Plus the money they send back home or get in child benefits is worth much more back home. No one is blaming them for coming here (who wouldn't?) but someone has to accept responsibility for the tensions it causes especially when the Govt has no measure in place to ease the burdens and hasn't increased public spending on affordable housing, services and infrastructure to cope with the influx. That cannot be fair can it, it is not a level playing field either? Perhaps you see things completely differently but I suspect that millions of the people you are criticizing see things the way I've described.

  7. Firstly stop being an arrogant bigot with your radiology badge, you have no idea what skills or education other people have so don't go thinking you're Einstein. Nothing special about radiology, hardly rocket science is it and at the end of the day its a job, 9-5 like the rest of us. If you had real brains you wouldn't need to work. Secondly where do you get the idea I'm Polish? Couldn't be further from the truth.

  8. But what are you going to do when your Polish Govt has to agree to accepting millions of refugees and immigrants that we won't have to take in after we leave the EU? Will you gladly provide the housing, jobs and benefits for them without complaining or will you act the same way that affected Brits have been acting whilst your wages go down and taxes up?

  9. Mind my own business? How much have you contributed to the UK in taxes? We will still have immigration but be able to actually CHOOSE who we want to come here so all of the unskilled, long term scroungers and criminals wont be invited. That means we wont pay millions in unnecessary benefits to prop up crap wages for people we don't actually need and free up some housing.

  10. Brits cannot do some of those jobs because they cannot afford to do them. Most of these Poles don't have a mortgage or property maintenance to pay out for and usually have accommodation thrown in with the job or share accommodation and bills. On top of that their earnings here are far greater than at home and even better with benefit topups or sending money back home where it will be worth far more than here. Let's get some perspective here BBC instead of the usual bias. If it was a completely level playing field few of us would object.
