  2. I can't see a system like this being workable in the West, I give it 5 yrs when the penny drops and this lot will be running for the hills with the backlash as people love their cars and travel and value their right to free speech and ability to create and innovate. Guarantee it won't work.

  13. Too big and ugly and overpriced with no resale value. Buy one get in massive debt and they then pull the rug on people owning cars full stop EV or ice so you have a heap of overpriced metal sat there that you can't drive and have to pay for someone to scrap it and no way to get to work if your job still exists. Isn't the future wonderful.

  15. They should have had these coming out in the 90s and slowly but up an infrastructure. That's when the steady jobs were there and people hadn't faced an onslaught of offshiring, undercutting, mass inflation and house price insanity. No good expecting people to buy one of these costly cars now, the incomes aren't there due to utter greed from our leaders and corporations. On top of this, the resale is awful and they arent practical for everyone and the grid can't cope as it's running on wind.

  19. Saddo is so concerned about air quality but said absolutely nothing about governments promoting diesel cars not so long ago. So his scrappage scheme will get thousands of poor working people into debt to meet the emission standards yet come 5-6 yrs time the goalposts will change so they will be expected to ditch their perfectly working cars and be forced to walk or use hopeless public transport which will come to a standstill very quickly if everyone is using it. These people aren't fit for purpose and their schemes are 100% phoney.

  20. This net zero nonsense will cost half of all the tax take per year so that either means MASSIVE tax hikes and/or no services at all. If we carry on with this we are doomed. What they should be doing is coming up with solutions and investing in highly efficient non polluting energy sources like nuclear or rolling out fusion power which has been sat in the vaults for decades. If we want no quality of life then carry on doing nothing letting them bring all this in and making a fortune at our expense.

  22. If there is an actual climate crisis they caused it themselves. They had decades to reduce fossil fuel usage and build alternatives but did nowt. The money was too good, now they have the nerve to blame us for their greed and neglect.

  27. They've been hiding alternative technologies for decades. It's all sat in a vault somewhere and all the world problems that are being manufactured could be resolved by tomorrow morning if they wanted to.
