Sound like Paak had more input than Mars on that track.

@oDiiJei Thats because the label is going to be promoting the better known act to bring in the sales, however I can hear the Paak sound all over it. Mars doesnt have that deep 70s soul in him so I just cant imagine him being the main songwriter/producer, sounds like he is doing the backing. Either way its a decent take on 70s soul music, a little bit commercial and quantized as its almost impossible to recreate older soul music but far better than the usual mainstream dross.

@oDiiJei Ok, name me another track that Mars has done that sounds like this one. I'm not a big fan of his as I dont listen to mainstream so I havent heard anything else he has done apart from that Uptown track. I was saying that this is promoted as Mars being the main guy whereas I believe there is more of a Paak sound on this.

@lilyluv9741 Sorry but I cant stand modern mainstream music or media hype. I havent really heard anything Mars has done that I like, it sounds too overproduced and commercial for my ears like most modern music, even the Uptown Funk which was taking a stab at the early 80s funk didnt sound convincing to me as too gimmicky. Not a fan but like Paak as he is doing something new and has a bit of oldskool soul in his music, far better all round musician imo. I'm not a major Paak fan btw, I just like what he does, I'm oldskool.
