  3. If those in positions of power due to wealth, fame, status, intelligence or education won't stand up to this and speak out then what else can we do other than resist, we create the world we want to live in.

I've seen a ton of scifi and horror movies and read many books but this scenario is the most horrific yet, to think we trusted these people all these years and now they are pulling this on us knowing full well the implications and complete loss of our rights, democracy, liberties and freedoms in exchange for some video game style credit system, digitising everything and treating us like a character in Tron.
