  1. All this crap about people not feeling welcome here! I've lived here all my life and I don't feel welcome here! I and am constantly told British workers are lazy, under skilled, racist and that we need to bring in millions of people to do the work we don't want to do!!!! I feel undervalued like millions of others born here. I don't recall Afro Caribbean or Asian people bleating on and on about not feeling welcome here back in the day, they got on with it and put the graft in and got the rewards and most have fitted very well into British culture.

  2. Most workers haven't had a payrise. The difference is most of us don't have 27+ days leave. Yes nurses should be paid more and be treated better and the cost of housing should come down significantly BUT pretty much all workers are suffering and at least nurses have a payrise on the horizon! There are other workers that work as hard as a nurse but don't have the same job security or leave. Not knocking nurses but perspective is important.
