  7. But the way the Tories are mishandling Brexit it will probably be a crap deal or re-reun of the referendum so I believe we will be staying in. The Tories have made it clear they are not interested in helping the workers as they want to sell us to the lowest Corporate bidder when we have the lowest corporation tax on the globe.

  8. There are plenty of Brits willing to do the job if the pay is liveable in the UK, not Poland or Romania. Who do they think did the work before the borders were abused? Why wont these migrants do the work in their own country? Answer, they dont like the pay. Pay up or go under, British workers do not want to subsidise low paid migrants via tax credits and housing benefits and it's not as though using migrants has reduced the cost of housing in the slightest, if it had then perhaps we might have seen some of the so called benefits of MASS immigration. The building industry has billions and is sitting on land banks and deliberately building at a snails pace to keep prices up, pay up or shut up.

  19. Quite what any of this has to do with the UK police force I'll never know. There is very little racism in this country, the people complaining wouldn't have lasted five minutes in the 70s and 80s if they are so upset now. So the UK is so, so racist, then perhaps freedom of movement is your best friend while its still an option? Finally I am appalled that Little Britain and Come Fly with me is now considered offensive as I have the boxsets but would love the option of streaming them for convenience but now can't!

No deal isn't a permanent state, its what we have to do in order to negotiate an independent trade deal whilst falling back on WTO for the interim, there might well be negative consequences but nothing that cannot be overcome in time. Remain isnt an option, we have no idea what the EU has in store over the next decade and its not going to reform.

  23. A peoples vote (2nd referendum) is a con trick to dilute or overturn the leave vote, since when do remoaners believe in referendums, I though leavers were too thick to participate? A second vote will gives remoan a chance to overturn the result and it also splits the leave vote into two (WTO or Chequers bad deal) so remoan would win. This isn't a chance for people to have a say, its a chance for remoan to overturn a decision they don't agree with.

  24. Well we take the worst possible deal that the EU wants to throw at us then and the remoaners will be responsible. We will be voting for a 'hard' brexit PM at the next GE and if that doesn't work then its the BP from then on.

They need someone who is currently unknown or who supported leaving the EU and someone who isn't smug and who listens to concerns and isn't two faced saying one thing to voters faces and another when they get back in their car like Browns Bigotgate. Face up to it Labour, mass immigration is a problem and needs controlling and we want out of the EU at all costs.

  28. No point to a losers vote if its going to be a choice between Mays deal or remain and it being rigged to include 16 yr olds, expats and migrants to be able to vote. Parliament don't want her deal so why should it be a choice on a losers vote? The only valid referendum would be a choice of how we leave but remain should not be on the ballot paper as we've already made that decision.

  31. The EU will offer the UK to opt out of FOM as a reciprocal arrangement and this will force another referendum imo.

But the EU want our money and are vindictive so I can see them throwing a spanner in the works because it would get them a second referendum which is advantageous to the EU and it can then punish us even more when we have to go back begging. Allowing individual countries to put the brakes on FOM as long as its reciprocal is not that big a deal on its core principles.

  33. Agreed, non Eu immigration is being completely ignored and is the bigger problem imo. Also undercutting of wages is being ignored, there are so many problems that they are sweeping under the carpet that most of us have lost faith. Brexit wouldn't have even happened had they been listening to concerns and being proactive whilst ensuring that the infrastructure was able to cope.

  37. If dodgy firms can't even afford 25k in the year 2020 for employees then shut up shop and let the big boys take over the market. We are sick of subsidising poor wages via tax credits and housing benefits whilst migrants who have paid far less in taxes use the infrastructure and public services we have paid for over and over. Nigel is a national hero and the poster was spot on.

  40. So now its hitting the EU in the pocket they are all ears to try to tackle the immigration problem. They should have been listening to our concerns years ago and ensuring that immigration was beneficial to every single person and not just those exploiting it or benefiting from it, ensuring wages were not being undercut but none of this has happened. We didn't ask for uncontrolled, reckless levels of immigration and on top of this we have had virtually zero investment in infrastructure, housing and NHS whilst being labelled racists!!!!!! This is an admission that Brexiters knew exactly what they were voting for and he knows it.

  47. There is nothing to debate. Do the media and establishment honestly think we want yet another remainer PM, we've had one and that went terribly. Why would any of us believe another word from a remainer let alone tolerate years and years of backtracking and a soft Brexit or 2nd ref betrayal?
