Running for office or for the throne is like watching school children pick which boy or girl to hang out with because of various reasons laid out on the table such as, the most good-looking, most intelligent, most athletic, the funniest, etc etc etc. The one who lost either gets ignored or gets mercilessly bullied. This is one of the reasons politics is garbage. "It's for grownups." Um, no, not when it closely resembles the undisciplined behavior of children.
