  37. Marriage is supposed to be a COVENANT AGREEMENT made by a legitimate couple. But I take it that too many "straight" people still don't know what marriage really is. Obviously legalism and politics should never get in the way of simple understanding. Divorce should only be considered as the last resort if one or both in the covenant relationship refuses to uphold one's obligation, thereby no repentance and resulting reconciliation is carried out by the guilty party. The children belongs to the one who is not to blame for the covenant violation. This would only work in a world where understanding and wisdom were held as the few of many of the highest values to possess and live by for everyone without any bias.
