  2. finland is not a magic place, and they are subject to all the human constraints. they are not uninvadeable. but, like the swiss, they maintain a large militia and aim to make invading finland not worth the effort. i don't know why they suddenly became afraid of the russians, but i suspect usa made an offer they couldn't refuse.

  3.  @seppo8383  reasonable. but ukraine in 2015 was 'bought' by usa. there are actual public records of usg officials discussing who to buy.. instead of joining usa, threaten to join russia, and cia will offer much more money. still, finland liked hitler more than stalin, so you might see a natural affinity there.
