  2. you have referendum and initiative, and recall. you can force administration to be done in public. why not fire the politicians and run the state through democratic means?

  3. it was also the glory days of income tax- 90% and the money was spent on the g.i. bill, supporting education and home ownership. as close as usa ever came to socialism, and a decent life for most.
