  1. scientists conning politicians? next the pope will be selling get-out-of-hell cards to anyone who feels the need. homo sapiens, yer shameless. i should add, dr h does a clear and suitably simple survey of where nuclear power generation is, right now. if homer sap was in charge of his local national entity, he could make an informed vote at referendum time, or participate in an initiative. but homer is not, outside of helvetia. so what is the use of public education? nowadays it is direct funding of scientists, such as dr h. nothing like it when i was young. used to be scientists had to be very polite to power, now, less so. on balance, a good thing.
