  1. try to be a little open-minded, mr dore. usa police are controlling the most heavily armed populace in the world, with a high percentage of desperadoes, individuals and gangs. it is a kind of civil war, the coppers have the most hardware and best organization, but they are swimming in a sea of potential back-shooters. you'd be nervous too, and inclined to shoot first. it turns out that the beginning of usa created the society of today, and a beginning of evil has made an evil empire. maybe 'blade runner' should have been titled 'things to come.'
