voting for people is not democracy, it's just a safety valve for plutocracy. before the people get to the gun-fire stage they are allowed to install new masters, who turn out to be old masters. democracy is done with referendum and initiative, there is no need for politicians, at all. why anyone would prefer to go on empowering politicians is a mystery to me. is there some genetic flaw in the people of the usa?
