  1. rise up? no. usans can't even organize a polite request to establish democracy. more than half would resist the suggestion- they think supporting the politicians will maintain their place in society, and climate catastrophe will happen in the future, if at all. the politicians diseducated usa, the primary tool of peaceful domination. usans live in a bubble, which may be shrinking, but the only result of that will be war. i suppose mr hedges makes a living from playing the prophet of doom, but it can't be much fun. no one is listening, or at least, few are acting.
