  1. asking for radical economic solutions from a society firmly in control of wealth seems like an exercise in academic point-scoring. calling it angry is worse, from implying action is imminent. rome 'decayed' for about 300 years, and usa might do as well, if it were not for the climate crisis. so no human-directed change is visible while physics directed change is visible, but so slow the frog in the pot hypothesis will be tested at last on humans.
