  1. a nation founded to protect slavery is still unaware that the constitution does not support democracy, it is explicitly an oligarchy with the usual injustice and corruption built in. people with unmonitored power are always crooked. people who imagine they are 'progressives' are a bit uncomfortable at times, but can do nothing effective about it, because the mechanisms of democracy are not present. citizen initiative is the mechanism of democracy, and you don't have it. until you get it, all talk is just gossip in the slave quarters. revolution is necessary, a transfer of power from the politicians to the citizens.
