for a little while i thought tulsi might be the leader usa desperately needs. she seems competent, not a given among usa politicians, and is aware that using soldiers to pump up corporate income is both unfair, and short-sighted. the end of that is simply military rule, which satisfies the military, top to bottom. and possibly reduced corporate income.
but most people are neither shareholders nor soldiers. this plan has been tried endlessly, it's a dead end. she could ride this popularity with the grunts into the oval office, but usa would not be much improved.
the main economic dysfunction arises from the bloated military. she could do nothing about that, would make it worse, since she would find herself issuing bonuses with every restiveness from the ranks.
what she could do, possibly, is enlist every able-bodied adult in the national militia, for a nominal wage, something like the 1000$ andy yang was talking about. this would allow her to cement her position among the poor, offer a pathway to reducing the army, with a spin-off in creating a voter base interested in peace,

try to be optimistic? think about that.
homer sap is heading towards an environmental catastrophe and resulting population drop. this may be a good thing as far as racial survival goes. no guarantee, greed and arrogance rule the western nations, and i suspect asia is much the same. africa is already in post-catastrophe condition, thx to the 'developed' nations, but doubtless they will be driven lower.
and the orcs who drive usa national policy may add general war to the mix, to bolster their declining share of the global wealth.
trying to be optimistic is putting a bucket on yer head and chanting, "fdr will save us, from the grave, if we dance around it, singing songs of contrition."
there will be no salvation. individual survival may be possible, but walled villages with mgs and rfgs and internal water supply are the best bet. get far away from cities, those crazies in montana and idaho may turn out to be right.
