  1. democracy and socialism go together. that's why you don't have democracy, madison explained that it would lead to the taxes of the rich being spent to help the poor. and he wasm't going to let that happen! so he wrote a constitution whose explicit purpose was to make sure the rich wrote the laws. it has worked very well. america is and will remain a plutocracy until the people demand democracy, or the generals take over, which is much more likely. one can pity americans, their future is bleak, but that's nature, red in fang and claw. nations come and go, and america has started going. it may be a slow process, and the possibility of active general war may extend its power for awhile, but in the end, wealth comes from production and creation, both out-sourced nowadays.
