  1. people who talk about 'trust' are chumps. you don't need to talk about trust in a democracy because the administration of national affairs must be done in public, so the citizens can make informed decisions. when you talk about trust, you admit the nation is run in secret by an el;ite, and you admit your only hope is if your masters love you like a collective fairy god-mother. so you are chumps, 'cause they never are.

  2. the cure needs democracy, because a feature of democracy is open administration of the state- no secrets at all. it can't be otherwise- when the people are citizens and direct the state, they must know what is done and what is planned. the usa is not a democracy, its people are not citizens, and they live in a fog of lies and silence. like cattle. hardly unique, but if h. sap. doesn't lift its collective game, elites will destroy the world.
