  1. i was an 'american' once, got sick of it during the course of the vn war. so i left. things have only got worse since, so this was a good decision. but maybe not worse, maybe what happened is the national myths were blown away by the greed and arrogance of the 'leaders' and modern usa is what it has always been. seems likely, a nation founded to preserve slavery, enable ethnic cleansing and empower wealth is likely to start off rotten, don't you think?
