obama was an empty suit when he ran for president, but the important point is, both major candidates are just puppets. when you have 2 empty suits, choice by complexion is easy. 'we haven't tried chocolate...' democracy is choosing laws, policies and actions, by referendum and initiative. voting for people is not democracy. enduring the lack of democracy deadens the spirit and dulls the mind. presumably that's why people talk about 'american democracy' as though there was such a thing.
