  1. i recommend getting democracy. politicians are parasites, unnecessary and pernicious. that would require a large number of people to actively persuade congress to replace the constitution with a transition document, based on the california constitution. however, usa people are not capable of that kind of purposeful organization and consequent action. so yer screwed. they win. comfort yourself that only the swiss got anywhere near democracy, and they only by luck. homersap in general just isn't citizen quality, and this may lead to extinction. so, don't worry, be happy.
