some usans live in states that have a genuinely democratic constitution- management of society by referendum and initiative. california is a notable example. people in those states should be aware that the usa is not a democracy. so why don't they secede? because the other states, 'bubbaland', would shoot them. this is depressing. a rational response would be to simply not vote. call it a warning, that 'we're not happy.' but bubba doesn't care. he goes on carrying water for the rich and is rewarded with a job, this is a stable situation until bubba loses his job. that's happening now. so, it's either democracy and socialism or military dictatorship. wonder which way usa will tip. i'm hoping the northeast and west coast find the courage to split off.
