  1. corruption happens everywhere, and the only cure is democracy and socialism. democracy only functions in the daylight, and socialism reduces the need for crime. everyone gets a free education and a share of the work. that makes crime rare and despised. this may be too hard for homer sap. in which case, greed will destroy the environment, extinction follows, or perhaps merely a reversion to pre-industrial society.
