  2. china has stolen nothing. they invited american ceos to move production to china, and specified access to the technology involved. the ceos said, 'no problem.' they thought, 'labor costs down for years, profits up, and i retire with a golden handshake.' so, no problem, for me at least. marx said something about capitalism cutting its own throat, and here you see it. china will not collapse. their elite selection process is very much better than usa. the only fear is that usa elite may be driven to use war as a substitute for brains. they might well destroy the planet rapidly, to maintain profits. they are already destroying it more slowly, by ignoring climate change.
