  1. no one can make a deal with trump. his word is worthless. his aims totally selfish and never much concerned with the day after tomorrow. a genuine 'capitalist' as the modern euphemism for 'bandit.' but china is capable of long term planning, and not much troubled by the effort of simply waiting for trump to leave the stage. since every day trump is in office costs america heavily in lost opportunity to adjust to changing conditions, xi jinping is likely to play 'ropeadope' with trump. the outcome is very likely to advance china's position in the world.
