  1. the t34 was cost effective, and the /85 was good enough to fight the opposition, and had points of superiority in field conditions. but it was no wonder machine, the panther was substantially superior when running, and maintained a high kill ratio. but the germans simply were overwhelmed by numbers. they tried to compensate with quality, and it didn't work.
