  1. the purpose of the second amendment is to frighten the politicians with the prospect of armed revolution. but it ain't enough. revolution needs organization and widespread anger. more important than anger is despair. so all the talk on the public web is just gossip. the gonna-do-somethingers, if any, will be quiet. it is comforting to imagine them plotting away in a backwoods cabin. the gds demographic is sparse at the best of times, and not every society raises them. still, we live in hope that the hopeless will stand up. even a wobbly would be heartening.
